    I hope that you are all enjoying a fantastic weekend.

    Firstly I would like to thank all who attended Australia?s Biggest Morning Tea at Lake G this morning. It was rather cold, however it was a fantastic morning catching up and getting together to raise money for this extremely worthwhile cause, a cause which means so much to many of us.
    I?m really excited to say that through our efforts this morning we raised $372.75 to go towards the Cancer Council?s research, prevention programs and support services. I had registered a goal of $250.00 and we smashed it, well done everyone and thank you!!!

    So now it is time to organise meeting for the Mother?s day Classic?.

    Below are the times for each race.

    Many of us are participating in the 5km, however, if time allows please join us earlier to cheer for our teams 10km runner?s and be part of the team photo?s before each race/walk. I hope that the 10km runner?s will be able to stick around to support our 5km runner?s and walker?s as well. Don?t forget to wear you?re your Fitness Specialist t-shirts?

    7:50am will be the time that we meet for photos and a warm up. Last year our group positioned ourselves near the stairs that are situated close to the finish line, please look out for the stairs and of course fellow team members wearing the YOUR Fitness Specialist T-shirts and jumper?s.
    After the race a morning tea will be provided to energise our team and to celebrate our accomplishments and of course our mum?s on mother?s day?

    Start times:

    8.10am Memorial minute of silence for 10km runners
    8.15am Warm-up aerobics for the 10km runners
    8.30am 10km run starts (complete two laps of the lake)
    9.00am Largest corporate, school and tertiary team award presentations
    9.10am Memorial minute of silence for 5km runners and walkers
    9.15am Warm-up aerobics for the 5km runners and walkers
    9.30am 10km run presentations
    9.30am 5km run starts
    9.35am 5km walk starts
    10.10am 5km run presentations

    I?m really looking forward to this event, we had a lot of fun last year and the buzz from all our team participants at the end was and will be magnetic.

    If anyone is interested in joining us for an extra run this week we will be meeting at 6:15am Monday and Wednesday morning?s, plus our terms scheduled running group time Sat 7am and Sunday 8:15am. Please let me know if you will be attending.
